Our recovery home director has over thirty-nine years of experience with the criminal justice system, substance abuse professionals and providers. Our knowledge and expertise relating to assisting individuals in the drug court system is exemplary. Accurate reporting to the referral overseers of the justice system is critical and brings recognition and trust in our services. Our court liaisons are available to oblige referral sources and the courts in providing accurate reports of our clients’ progress. We are available to respond to interview prospective program participants in custody or while attending their primary treatment programs. Referral sources which include arresting officers and court officers are part of our community and are invited to our graduation functions. We consider peace officers as life savers in helping individuals treat their disease.
There is a resident “house parent” who oversees our homes. A house parent is an individual who has demonstrated the desire to work in the field of substance abuse treatment and has been in recovery for a significant length of time. The house parent receives ongoing training, and is constantly pursuing their education and advancement in the recovery field. Our home also provides an assistant house parent who assists the house parent in maintaining the house guidelines and standards, in order to assist residents in acclimating into the new standard of living. Our house parents work closely with each resident to help them reach their goals of living alcohol and drug free. Our director oversees client progress to make sure our clients are moving towards becoming productive members of our community.
We realize a key component to sobriety is learning how to participate in recreation without abusing substances. In view of this, clients enjoy group outings, barbeques, bowling, fishing trips, group sporting events, recovery conventions, recovery retreats and seminars and reunions. We also provide exercise equipment in our home, giving clients the opportunity to exercise as a part of their recovery process.
At this time we are working with men only. Applicant must agree by signature to adhere to house rules and expectations as a condition of consideration for residency. We offer residents an opportunity and the dignity of taking responsibility for their own recovery and initiative to reach out to others.
